Nara Sokhema, got a Master Degree in International Development from the University of Manchester, for which she was awarded the prestigious Chevening Scholarship by the UK government.
She started volunteering when she was 15 years old, an experience which profoundly changed her outlook on life, inspiring her to 'pay it forward' and dedicate her time towards initiating/leading community projects that focus on building young capable and ethical leaders.
For more than 8 years, she has been active in initiating and leading over a dozen projects, supporting 50+ youth initiatives, has won more than 15 awards/scholarships and reached out to 10,000+ youths across Cambodia and South East Asia. Sokhema is passionate about education, youth leadership empowerment, social volunteerism and development, as well as travelling (she has visited 46 countries) and learning from the world.
She worked for Teach For Cambodia, Transparency International Cambodia, UNCAC Coalition, and UNDP.
